Godshill Isle of Wight

A short way inland on the East side of the Isle of Wight is the little village of Godshill. Known for the historic centre of thatched cottages and small shops selling gifts, the village of Godshill is a popular destination for visitors to the Isle of Wight. The majority of the shops sell a range of little gifts but some offer genuine local products including locally made food and drink in gift packs.
An occasional market in the car park of the Cask & Tavernier’s gives one the chance to buy local art work, photographs, and cheese. Just outside the central high street is Godshill’s historic church and around it are clustered picturesque thatched cottages.
